Request for Proposals: Becoming Beloved Community Practices

Thanks to a 2019 United Thank Offering grant, the Diocese of Southern Ohio is engaged in diocesan-wide efforts to activate the vision of Becoming Beloved Community. To deepen these efforts, the diocese is providing funding for the administration of grant-awards to support local Becoming Beloved Community activities.

In seeking financial support, please complete this request for proposals. A circle of Becoming Beloved Community task force members will review these requests as they come in to determine eligibility. You will receive notice of that decision within approximately two weeks of your submission. If you have any questions about this process, please reach out to Amy Howton, Becoming Beloved Community Coordinator.

Use of funds

Use of funds is relatively open compared to most other grant processes. The flexibility of fund usage is purposeful in order to acknowledge the wide continuum of Becoming Beloved Community that churches span and in order to encourage creativity and innovation.

Available funding

Funding for one-time events (a program, symposium, film screening) is available for up to $500. Funding to support missional engagement in communities or neighborhoods is available for up to $2500.
